| Judith Wilkinson is an award-winning British poet and translator, living in Groningen, the Netherlands. She has won many awards for her work, including the 2011 Popescu Prize for European Poetry in Translation, for her translation of Toon Tellegen's Raptors (Carcanet, 2011) and the 2013 Brockway Prize. Her translation of Menno Wigman's poetry, The World by Evening, was published by Shearsman Books in 2020. She has written two collections of her own poetry, Tightrope Dancer (2010) and Canyon Journey (2016, both Shoestring Press). The next collection of her own work, In Desert, was published by Shoestring Press in summer 2021. In 2025 Shoestring Press published her translation of Miriam Van hee's Sediment of Light. 2026 sees the publication of a new translated collection, Alara Adilow's Myths and Traffic Lights (Shearsman), and a new collection of her own poetry, Sphinx Moth (Poetry Salzburg). She is currently translating Anne Broeksma's collection Vesper. | ||
