Marc Tritsmans (Antwerp, 1959) is a Belgian poet. Up till now he has published fourteen volumes of poetry. In 2011 he received the Herman de Coninck Award for his poetry collection Study of the shadow. In 2019 his twelfth volume The singing of the world was translated into Afrikaans by Daniel Hugo. From 1994 to 2000 his poems were translated into English by James Brockway and published in numerous British literary magazines including The London Magazine. It was not until 2019 that John Irons started to translate his poems into English again.
