Frances Galleymore
Frances Galleymore was a poet, novelist and screenwriter. Her earliest novel, The Orange Tree (Jonathan Cape, 1970), was close to being a long prose poem; and after a successful career in more commercial genres she devoted her last decade to poetry. Her poems have been widely published in anthologies and magazines such as Acumen, Orbis, Poetry Salzburg Review, and Stand. She won the Battered Moons Competition in 2012. As a screenwriter, she had over thirty drama productions to her name. Her short stories have been broadcast on BBC Radio Four and published in Mail on Sunday.
